Tokina have brought a classic lens back with some new tricks for the Digital age....
The Tokina AT-X 80-400mm AF was the smalles and lightest telephoto zoom lens that had a max brightness of f5.6 at 400mm when it was originally released in 1995.
Tokina have brought this classic lens back with improvements...
The first is a new Internal Focus system that means the heaviest inner metal barrel & optical unit in the lens does not rotate when the lens is focusing, making the lens faster than previous models.
The lens also benefits from new coatings designed to complement the latest CMOS & CCD sensor units being used in todays D-SLR cameras.
The lens has a built in low profile tripod collar, giving the lens ideal balance when using mounted on a tripod or monopod.
